DS Debbie McAllisterDebbie McAllister may not be the most popular character on The Bill, but needless to say, we, The Icicles, simply adore her. Most people may be see her as being out for herself, ambituous, manipulative, etc. But we disagree.Debs may not trust her colleagues 100%, but who can blame her? She came to Sunhill after the Don Beech Corruption Scandal, after being recently promoted over at Barton Street. She's not a sheep: she prefers to make up her own mind about situations and people. She wasn't prepared to automatically believe everything her colleagues told her. Plus, as she discovered in the recent four-parter Britannia, her senior officer SuperIntendant Chandler is readily prepared to throw her to the wolves if it helps him; so she watches her own back over her colleagues'. She also realises that you can't always get the best result by playing things by the book, so she is willing to take chances and use her head to manipulate things. DS McAllister does have a soft spot though. She got personally involved with one of her informants, Jamie Ross, and was obviusly upset when he was killed.
